Title: SIMPLIFIED TRAFFIC-NOISE-PREDICTION MODEL FOR TRANSPORTATION AND LAND USE PLANNING
Accession Number: 00335174
Record Type: Component
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: An empirical model for the estimation of Leq noise levels along urban and suburban streets has been developed. The only required data inputs are classified traffic counts, and the computational technique is appropriate for a hand calculator. In addition to a description of the model, a brief history of its development and experimental verification is included. Advantages and limitations of the model are depicted. Suggested applications by land use and transportation planning staffs are described. (Author)
