Accession Number: 00335134
Record Type: Component
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: This workshop, which dealt with the means and coordinating mechanisms for achieving greater uniformity in relocation and real property acquisiton, considered coordinating committees, simple agencies for rulemaking, standard regulations, and central relocation offices. Minor and serious inequities of the 1970 Act were discussed. Inequities identified by relocation offices that provide central services under different federally funded programs in Maryland, Ohio, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia are cited. Prescriptions for attaining greater uniformity are presented. Discussions ranged on who should write uniform regulations and guidance manuals and the necessary consultation process for inviting federal regulations. The concept of certification acceptance was also discussed.
