Abstract:

This guidebook provides a practitioner’s guide for construction administration on construction manager/general contractor (CM/GC) projects. This guidebook provides useful strategies and tools to support CM/GC project administration for both agencies that are new and experienced with the CM/GC contracting method. After an introductory chapter, chapters address: overarching contract administration strategies, pre-award phase administration, alignment phase administration, design phase administration, construction phase administration, closeout phase administration, and guidebook implementation. The appendix includes contract administration tools and case studies.
