Title: SIMPLE EQUILIBRIUM ANALYSIS OF THE DEDICATION OF A FREEWAY LANE TO EXCLUSIVE BUS USE
Accession Number: 00334188
Record Type: Component
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: In this paper, the dedication of an existing freeway lane to exclusive (withflow) bus use is critically examined. A simple equilibrium analysis by means of a logit mode-choice model and typical volume-delay curves indicates that such projects might bring about the expected benefits only under extreme congestion. The benefits are measured in terms of the ratio of total person hours before to those after the implementation.
