Accession Number: 01662563
Record Type: Component
Abstract: With the rapid development in communication, location and sensor technology, the train tracking operation optimization under moving block system (MBS) received much attention from academia. Considering the high density, short interval and huge interactions among adjacent trains in high speed railway (HSR), the dynamic adjustment of speed trajectory is a major development, which ensures operation safety and improves the carrying capacity of railway. In this paper, various objectives including safety, time efficiency, energy-saving and comfort are taken into account to obtain the optimal speed trajectory. Then, the authors investigate the optimal operation for multiple trains tracking process aiming at increasing rail line carrying efficiency; an elastic tracking interval model is proposed to illustrate the change of real time tracking interval. Under the elastic model, an online train tracking operation strategy dynamic adjustment mechanism is implemented to adjust the control strategy of the following train to optimize the tracking interval automatically in real time. The numerical simulation using the real data from Chibi North Station to Changsha South Station high-speed railway line of China is conducted to assess the effectiveness of the models and methods illustrated in the paper.
