Title: ANALYTICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF RESIDUAL STRESS IN RAILS
Accession Number: 00300670
Record Type: Component
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: A mathematical model for the calculation of railhead residual stresses is presented together with the results for a specific case of wheel loading. These data are then compared with the results obtained by destructive evaluation of residual stresses in simulated railhead specimens. Finally, the results obtained are compared with published values for residual stress.
