THE SPECIFIC EXAMPLE WAS BUILT TO RELIEVE CONGESTION AT A MAIN INTERSECTION. CONSTRUCTION WAS COMPLETED IN FIVE WEEKENDS ON A CAREFULLY CONTROLLED SCHEDULE TO MINIMIZE TRAFFIC DISRUPTION. METHODS AND MATERIALS ARE DESCRIBED.
