Title:
Pavement Management 2013, Volume 4
Accession Number:
01514598
Abstract:
This issue contains 14 papers concerned with pavement management. The papers are organized into two parts. The first part addresses strength and deformation characteristics of pavement sections. Specific topics discussed in this part include: unbound pavement layers modified by geogrids; unbound granular materials; cross-anisotropy; seasonal variation in mechanistic responses of flexible pavements; asphalt layer properties; and wide-base single-tire and dual-tire assemblies. The second part addresses surface properties-vehicle interaction. Specific topics discussed in this part include: diamond grinding of a continuously reinforced concrete pavement; porous asphalt pavements; skid resistance performance on porous and nonporous pavements; nanoconcrete for rigid pavements; airport groove identification; hydroplaning risk; temperature and tire-pavement friction; and locked-wheel and fixed-slip skid systems.
