THREE ALTERNATE METHODS FOR MEASURING FREEZE-THAW AND WET- DRY RESISTANCE IN THE STANDARD SOIL-CEMENT TESTS ARE STUDIED: LENGTH CHANGE, COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH, AND PULSE VELOCITY. LENGTH CHANGE AND COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH METHODS SHOW PROMISE OF DEVELOPMENT INTO DESIRABLE ALTERNATE PROCEDURES. DATA OBTAINED BY THE ALTERNATE MEASURES PROVIDE NEW INFORMATION THAT WILL BE HELPFUL IN FURTHER STUDIES TO IMPROVE SOIL-CEMENT TESTING PROCEDURES. /AUTHOR/
