The papers are organized in three parts. The first part is concerned with aggregates in concrete mixtures and reclaimed asphalt pavements. Topics in this part include: recycled concrete aggregates; blast furnace slag; blending and chemical stabilization; and coarse aggregate durability. The second part is concerned with the innovative characterization of geomaterials. Specific topics include: aggregate imaging for morphological characterization; segmentation and image processing algorithms for aggregate size and shape evaluation; analytical and laser scanning for aggregate shape determination; in situ erosion evaluation probes for scour assessment; shear wave velocity measurement to link soil strain behaviors; laboratory compaction of reclaimed asphalt pavement; and soil stiffness assessment. The third part is concerned with unbound pavement layers. It addresses mechanical behavior, moisture-sensitivity, and stress-dependence.
