This article insert briefly describes the Interactive Highway Safety Design Model (IHSDM) and presents two case studies that highlight the use of the IHSDM to implement "Highway Safety Manual" (HSM) Part C methods. The IHSDM is a suite of software tools that support project-level decisions about the geometric design of roadways.
