Abstract: SIMULATOR RESEARCHES DEMAND PRIORITY SELECTION BECAUSE OF THE PROBABLE HIGH COST OF RESEARCH ON SOME SIMULATORS AND THE OBVIOUS NEED NOT TO WASTE RESEARCH EFFORT. A SEQUENCE OF DECISION-MAKING STEPS IS GIVEN. THE SEQUENCE IS DIFFICULT TO APPLY BECAUSE OF THE VARIABLE NUMBER OF CRITERIA AND THE DIFFICULTY OF MEASURING AND WEIGHTING THE CRITERIA. A LIST OF CRITERIA FOR PRIORITY IS NAMED' SOME ARE DESCRIBED AND DISCUSSED, ESPECIALLY THE PAYOFF CRITERION, AN EXAMPLE IS GIVEN OF AN ATTEMPT TO APPLY MEASURE, AND SOME DIFFICULT- IES ARE DEMONSTRATED.
