Abstract:

In Michigan and Wisconsin, statewide initiatives have encouraged local agencies to adopt an asset management approach to paved road conditions. Many local agencies are using asset management to educate decision makers and stakeholders about the basics of pavement deterioration and to explain the logic and sense of a mix-of-fixes preservation strategy.
