Accession Number: 01157019
Record Type: Component
Availability: Transportation Research Board Business Office 500 Fifth Street, NW Abstract: This paper focuses on determining the best way to educate students in grades 9 through 11 about careers in the transportation industry. To find the most useful teaching method, 12 students were given a Pre-Test and Post Test to measure their study habits and academic management skills. Students were assessed based on what they had learned about transportation by participating in field trips, hands-on activities, and lectures. Further research may be required to fully determine which method would be most appropriate to educate students about career opportunities in the transportation industry.
