In this paper, a brief overview of the instrumentation program at the monitoring site, followed by a brief introduction of the Enhanced Integrated Climatic Model (EICM) program was introduced. The main focus of this paper is to evaluate the prediction capability of the new EICM Version 3.2 by comparing the predicted temperature, moisture, and frost depth values with those measured at I-90 site over a period of six years. Also, sensitivity analyses were conducted to evaluate the effect of various input parameters on EICM predictions. As a conclusion, the predictions from EICM Version 3.2 are in much better agreement with the field measured values than the predictions obtained from EICM Version 3.0. Results from sensitivity analyses indicated that new EICM exhibit high to moderate sensitivity to the surface short-wave absorptivity and low sensitivity to the asphalt thermal conductivity and heat capacity. For moisture predictions, the analysis indicated that EICM Version 3.2 exhibits high sensitivity to the soil porosity and fines contents. Based on the sensitivity analysis, pavement sections were calibrated. The calibrated pavement sections were found in a good agreement with the measured pavement temperatures and moisture contents.
