Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to gain insight into several aspects of longer combination vehicle use within the United States. This paper provides an overview of responses by longer combination vehicle (LCV) operators and carriers to a survey concerning LCV use. Posed questions focused on four specific areas of concern: Operations and management, performance and safety, vehicle characteristics, and drivers.
