Abstract:
These 16 papers are concerned with the following aspects of travel demand forecasting: transit, land use, and auto pricing strategies to reduce vehicle miles and greenhouse gas emissions; continuous departure time models; an artificial neural network delay model for traffic assignment; how travel attributes affect planning time horizon of activities; work departure time analysis; adding mode choice to multiagent transport simulation; heterogeneous decision rule model of mode choice; evacuation planning; assessment of user benefits in the presence of random taste heterogeneity; estimating random coefficient logit models with full covariance matrix; a model for person and household mobility attributes; risk and uncertainty in toll road projects; TRANSIMS implementation in Chittenden County, Vermont; large problems of dynamic network assignment and traffic equilibrium; generating connectors in transport planning models; and enhanced destination choice models.
