Abstract:

This paper discusses the results of tests and Finite Element Modeling (FEM) calculations of a steel, single-span unconventional road bridge constructed from flat steel sheets attached together with joints, put under trial static and dynamic loads. It is a detour bridge located in Makolno near Klodzko (South of Poland), intended for use until the reconstruction of the existing bridge has been completed.
