The privatized maintenance contract is performance-based since it is for a finite period of time and is subjected to strict budgetary allocation. The pavement maintenance methods include the use of routine maintenance, Cold-in-Place Recycling (CIPR) with Portland cement and bituminous emulsion, other conventional milling and replacement of the existing bituminous layer, and seal coating. Some of these methods have been discussed in details. The cost data of these maintenance strategies have also been presented.
