This insert briefly describes the International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database, a cooperative worldwide database of published information on transportation and transportation research. Since 1972 the Road Transport Research Program of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has overseen the development of the ITRD to facilitate the sharing of published information and of ongoing research in the field of transportation.
