Abstract:

Decades of transportation security experience have proven that a workforce trained to be alert, observant, diligent, and conscientious in reporting unusual activities and objects is one of the most effective security measures in a system designed to be open, accessible, and reliable. This article gives descriptions of programs developed to provide that kind of training to frontline transportation employees and their supervisors.
