Abstract:

Transportation at U.S. National Parks presents difficulties for the National Park Service (NPS), which must preserve and protect the natural features of the parks for future generations and yet provide enjoyment for people today. This article discusses new, coordinated intermodal approaches using the latest technologies that are helping to meet this challenge.
