Title: USE OF ADMIXTURES IN PRODUCTION OF LOW-POROSITY PASTES AND CONCRETES
Accession Number: 00135025
Record Type: Component
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: This paper reviews the results of studies on the development of a low-porosity, high-strength cement paste and concrete. The paste is made by mixing finely ground cement clinker, containing alkali or alkaline earth lignosulfonates, with 0.20 to 0.30 parts water containing alkali carbonate. Concretes and mortars made with low-porosity cement paste have improved strength, dimensional stability, and other engineering properties.
