Title: BINDER CHARACTERIZATION AND EVALUATION. VOLUME 4: TEST METHODS
Accession Number: 00666014
Record Type: Monograph
Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: This volume describes the development of test methods for the characterization of asphalt cement. These test methods may be used in specifications and for developing correlations between physical and chemical properties. To understand how the properties of asphalt cement and asphalt concrete mixtures relate to one another, fundamental material properties expressed in engineering units were required. This information was used to develop models that relate the properties of asphalt cement to mixture properties and, in turn, to pavement performance. A method for the extraction and recovery of asphalt binder from asphalt mixes is also included.
