Abstract:

Three main areas for identifying alcohol and drug problems in the aviation industry are examined in this report. These are the aviation industry's drug testing program, the checking of driving records of applicants for aviation medical certification, and the medical recertification and monitoring of airline pilots following treatment for alcoholism.
