Abstract:

An integrated enforcement program aimed at reducing alcohol-impaired driving and increasing seat belt use was designed and implemented in Binghamton, New York. The program's emphasis is on the publicized use of sobriety and seat belt checkpoints, passive alcohol sensors, and seat belt law enforcement. This report discusses the program's implementation and accomplishments.
