Availability: Find a library where document is available Abstract: This summary of a presentation made at the 70th Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board in Washington, D.C., in January 1991, describes the Shock Trauma Center of the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS) of the University of Maryland in Baltimore, which is a Level I trauma center, and the data it collects. A profile of the Shock Trauma Center patients is given, the Center's patient toxicology data base is described, and results from the Shock Trauma Center's marijuana study, which tested for alcohol and marijuana use, are presented.
