Abstract:

This Circular contains 28 research problem statements on user information systems prepared by the TRB Committee on User Information Systems, A3B08. The first 10 problem statements are ranked as high priority, the next 9 statements as medium priority and the last 9 as low priority. Each statement contains the following: title; problem; objective; key words; related work; urgency/priority; cost; implementation; and effectiveness. Among the topics covered are signing, delineation, compliance, truck signing, traffic engineering, raised pavement markers, traffic buttons, striping, digitized maps, visibility, and work zone warning devices.
