Abstract: This paper discusses the training program presently employed in the Oklahoma Department of Highways, which includes the training of all maintenance employees on a mass basis using the Maintenance Manual as a text. Lectures supplemented by film strips, slides and audio tapes covering every chapter and section of the Manual are presented to the employees in groups of 25 to 60. In addition special short courses are provided.
