Specific topics covered are as follows: methodology to backcalculate individual speed data originally aggregated by road detectors; traffic conflict-based before-after study; evaluating bicycle safety in Vancouver, Canada; and evaluating the impact of socioeconomics, land use, built environment, and road facility on cyclist safety. Additional topics include impact of congestion and traffic flow on crash frequency and severity; representations of road user volume and their impact on postencroachment time; incorporating a safety index into pathfinding; and assessing safety of signalized intersections.
