Abstract:

This issue contains sixteen papers concerned with asphalt materials and mixtures. Specific topics addressed in this issue include the following: binder foaming characteristics and foamed mixture properties; fracture properties of warm-mix asphalt; oxidative aging of asphalt binders; fatigue and rutting evaluation; characterization of asphalt mixtures with recycled materials and recycling agents; asphalt mixtures containing recycled asphalt shingles; mixing superheated virgin aggregate with reclaimed asphalt pavement materials; and binder blending. Additional topics covered include: biomodification of rubberized asphalt; rubberized porous European mixtures; adhesion and healing at the interface between asphalt binders and aggregates; skid resistance of pavement surfaces; interlayer bonds; vapor-conditioned and unconditioned asphalt; Hamburg wheel-track test precision; and field permeability.
