Pedersen, who was recently selected to be the Transportation Research Board’s tenth Executive Director. Pedersen brings to this position over 38 years of experience in the transportation industry, including 29 years in management and leadership with the Maryland State Highway Administration. He previously served as Chair of the Transportation Research Board Executive Committee and has been the Deputy Director of the second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP 2) since 2012. Pedersen has been awarded extensively in the industry, and his long list of accomplishments and awards are highlighted in this article.
