Abstract:

Sutong Yangtze River Bridge is the longest cable-stayed bridge existing in the world with a main span of 1088 meters. This paper briefly introduces the main technical characteristics of its important design points, such as: steel box girder, stayed cable, steel anchor box for main pylon, foundation for main pylon, structural system of pylon and beam and anti-collision system for main pylon foundation.
