Abstract:

The PORTAL transportation data archive has been in existence since 2004. PORTAL serves a wide variety of users including operations personnel, planners and researchers. This paper describes recent and coming enhancements to the PORTAL interface with a focus on using PORTAL’s archived data to directly support performance measure reports. An analysis of a congestion management report is presented along with a description of various user interface enhancements designed to improve usability and usage for deriving the data associated with performance measurement reports. It is our goal to reduce the time and effort put into collecting and aggregating data for performance reports by automating the creation of performance-related data sets in PORTAL.
