It is presented in three sections. The first section, Background of Pavement Warranties, provides definitions, discusses the advantages and disadvantages of warranty contracting, compares warranties, presents international scan findings, and addresses some of the issues that need to be taken into consideration when using pavement warranties. The second section, Selection Procedures for Pavement Warranties, contains information on specification development, bonding requirements or guarantee issues, project selection, acceptance procedures for warranty projects, warranty evaluations, and warranty experiences. The final section, Management of Pavement Warranties, discusses partnering, the number and types of warranties, warranty data, and the field verification process.
