THE MAIN EFFORT SHOULD BE TO MINIMIZE THE DISRUPTION OF NATURAL DRAINAGE WAYS, TO PROVIDE CULVERTS FREQUENTLY SO AS TO AVOID CARRYING STORM WATER LONG DISTANCES, TO USE NATIVE SOD GRASSES WHEREVER POSSIBLE IN DRAINAGE CHANNELS, AND TO FIT THE ROAD TO THE LANDSCAPE.
